Marina McDougall

Vice President Experience And Engagement at The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University

Marina McDougall has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of arts and education. Marina is currently serving as the Vice President of Experience and Engagement at The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. Prior to this, they held the position of Interim Chief Learning and Engagement Officer at the same institution.

Marina also has experience as an Interdisciplinary Curator at their own company, which they started in 2018. Additionally, they have served as a Board Trustee at the Slought Foundation and the Museum Of Jurassic Technology.

Marina'searlier roles include being the Director of Garden of Forking Paths, where they focused on reinterpreting historical gardens and exploring cultural histories. Marina was also a member of the Board of Directors at SEED FUND GRANTS INC, which supports exemplary projects in art, education, architecture, and ecology.

Furthermore, they served as the Director of the Center for Art & Inquiry at the Exploratorium, where they developed the global arts strategy and oversaw various special projects. Marina also held the position of Associate Professor at the California College of the Arts, teaching MA Curatorial Practice.

Marina McDougall's career started as the Curator of Art and Design at the California College of the Arts in 1998, and they later co-founded the Studio For Urban Projects.

Marina McDougall pursued their education at various prestigious institutions. From 1982 to 1987, they attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Continuing their academic journey, Marina McDougall then enrolled in Stanford University from 1989 to 1993 and successfully completed their Master of Arts degree in Documentary Film.
