Lucia MacHova Urdzikova

Lucia Machova Urdzikova is a highly experienced scientific researcher affiliated with the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic since August 2002, focusing on neuroscience, spinal cord injury treatment, regenerative medicine, biomaterials, cell therapy, tissue engineering, and nanotechnology. In addition, Lucia serves as an Ethics Expert for the European Commission since November 2012, overseeing ethical standards in research and ensuring compliance with EU regulations. As an Ethics Advisor since January 2016, Lucia provides advisory and training services on ethical guidelines within companies. Previous roles include Scientific Researcher at Charles University from January 2019 to December 2021 and University Lecturer at Czech Technical University from October 2016 to December 2017, teaching Anatomy and Physiology. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Biology from Univerzita 'Pavla Jozefa Šafárika' v Košiciach and an M.D. in General Medicine from the same institution.
