Pooja Harlalka, LMHC, currently serves as the Head of Social Emotional Learning & Counseling at The Acres Foundation since December 2018, where the focus is on designing a flagship Social Emotional Learning curriculum to foster essential mental health education for students. Pooja has maintained a private practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since January 2012 and has held various roles in mental health and education, including SkillCorps Mentor and Member at the Global Autism Project, Diversion Liaison & CIRT Counselor at NYC Health + Hospitals, and Multi-Systemic Therapist at New York Foundling. Educationally, Pooja has obtained a Master of Education and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and completed training at the William Alanson White Institute. Pooja's extensive background in counseling, therapy, and special education highlights a commitment to inclusive mental health practices and social emotional support.
