John Covert has a diverse work experience in the field of development and fundraising. John began their career as the VP for Development at St. Anthony Health Foundation, where they managed a portfolio of donor accounts and provided leadership for annual fund development. John then worked as the Divisional Director of Development at The Salvation Army, overseeing fundraising in the four mountain states and leading teams in planned giving and major gifts. John also served as the Director of Development at both Families of Character and Glory Community, focusing on equipping families with tools to grow in character and marketing and development, respectively. John later became the Director of Development at The Action Center and currently owns and serves as the Chief Cruise Planner at Covert Travel Enterprise, specializing in fundraising cruise events for nonprofit organizations. John's experience showcases their expertise in fundraising, development, and leadership roles within various organizations.
John Covert earned a BS degree in Management and Administration from the University of Phoenix, where they studied from 1990 to 1992. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership at Regis University from 2001 to 2003, graduating with an MSM degree.

We can connect our neighbors with the resources they need, whether that’s for just now or a little while longer. With free groceries, clothing, and hygiene items, not to mention rent and utility assistance, and connections to resources that can help stabilize their lives, we’re here for everyone. But most importantly, we’re here for you. Our Mission: The Action Center provides an immediate and compassionate response to those in our community experiencing hardship and offers the resources and services needed to stabilize lives and promotes pathways lasting change. Our Vision: Our Vision is that one day, all individuals and families in our community will have access to the resources, jobs and housing that they need to fulfill their greatest potential.
