Mike Derrick has extensive experience in the creative field, specializing in broadcast advertising. Mike began their career as a Writer in the freelance industry in 1983. From 1984 to 1996, they worked at Mills Hall Walborn Advertising as a senior copywriter and eventually became the Creative Director, overseeing major clients such as Geauga Lake, HoneyBaked Ham Company, Convenient Food Mart, Westinghouse, Flood Company, Ohio Business Machines, and Bank One. Mike joined Adcom Communications in 1996 as a Shareholder and Executive Vice President, where they served as the Creative Director, leading the creative strategy and copywriting.
Mike Derrick attended Ohio University from 1976 to 1980, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. During their time there, they focused on studying Advertising, Economics, and Psychology.
