Olivier Pognon

Olivier S. Pognon currently serves as the Director and CEO of The African Legal Support Facility since October 2021. Prior to this role, Olivier held several prominent legal positions, including Chief Legal Officer at Airtel Africa from June 2014 to October 2021, General Manager (legal & regulatory) at MTN from December 2009 to May 2014, and Legal Counsel at Agence Française de Développement from January 2008 to December 2009. Early in the career, Olivier worked as an Associate at Mayer Brown, where the focus included structured finance and project finance, and had roles at Clifford Chance LLP, CMS-BFL, and Ernst & Young. Olivier's educational background includes a Master’s in Structured Finance and Project Finance from Université Paris Nanterre, along with executive education in Strategic Leadership and Finance for Executives from INSEAD.
