Rebecca Harrison is the CEO and co-founder of The African Management Initiative (AMI). Rebecca has over 15 years of experience in the private and public sectors, with a focus on entrepreneurial projects in emerging markets.

Prior to their current role, Harrison was the owner of Real Impact Consulting, a firm that provided strategy, business development, research and communications consulting to organizations in the private and civic sector. Rebecca also served as a senior business correspondent for Africa at Thomson Reuters, where they led a team of correspondents covering companies, investment and equity markets across Africa. In this role, they improved key metrics by 50% within a year and delivered a steady stream of exclusive stories on major M&A deals.

Harrison has also served as a political correspondent for Israel and the Palestinian Territories at Thomson Reuters and as a technology, telecoms and media correspondent for Africa. Rebecca has been published in top international media outlets and is a recognized expert on business and investment trends in Africa.
