Tom Cowie

Tom Cowie is a senior journalist at The Age, where responsibilities have included serving as a senior journalist for both the city section and Sunday Age, as well as acting deputy editor. Cowie's accolades include winning the Coverage of Women in Sport award at the 2021 Melbourne Press Club Quill awards and the Best Feature award at the 2019 Melbourne Press Club Quill awards. Prior experience includes crime reporting and a trajectory from trainee journalist at The Courier in Ballarat, where recognition was received for a Best News Story, to journalism at Crikey. Cowie holds a Bachelor of Journalism from La Trobe University, completed in 2010.
