Senior Finance Executive David Allen has gained experience across the some of the world's most well-regarded accountancy and advisory firms as well as listed companies and start-ups and has transferable skills in financial control, change management, strategic planning skills, and stakeholder relationship management across the APAC, USA and Europe.
David started in the real estate profession straight from high school in an admin role at a franchise office, before attending university to obtain a Bachelor of Business. Over his career, David has developed a strong skill set as an analytical thinker, with advanced qualitative and quantitative skills. Known for solving complex problems, David can pull apart ideas and put them back together in a better way to achieve outcomes for an organisation and its customers.
Previously, David held senior positions at KPMG Australia, KPMG UK and KPMG International, where he worked across diverse engagements and partnered with specialists in over 100 countries. He has also worked on a large number of clients across the property, construction, infrastructure and funds management sectors including Stockland (ASX: SGP), Walker Corporation, CBRE (Europe) and GE Real Estate (UK). In his role at KPMG International, David worked alongside KPMG’s Chairman, Global Infrastructure to focus on specific strategic priorities to help grow the infrastructure-related revenues of KPMG member firms. David has also been Senior Manager at the Global Infrastructure Hub, a G20 initiative with the aim of increasing the flow and quality of private and public infrastructure investments and was previously the Commercial Manager – Transformation & Growth at McGrath Estate Agents (ASX: MEA).
For the past 10 years, David has served as trustee and board member of Kickstart Kids International, an Australian and UK charitable organisation operating an orphanage in Kenya that works to kick start the lives of vulnerable children through locally-led sustainable development.
David is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and holds an Executive Master Business Administration (MBA) from Australian Graduate School of Management at University of NSW (AGSM @ UNSW).
