Sapna Shah

Sapna Shah is a dedicated education professional with a strong focus on empowering students from under-resourced communities. Currently serving as Project Lead at The Akanksha Foundation since July 2023, Shah leads Project RISE, which aims to cultivate exceptional academic talents. Previous experience includes roles as Director of Gifted Programs at GenWise and Director of Teaching & Learning at Avasara Academy. As a Research Fellow at Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Shah developed educational toolkits for teaching Soft Robotics. Early career experience at Teach For India spanned various roles, culminating in Senior Program Manager, impacting education for over 600 children in Hyderabad and earning recognition as a "Transformational Teacher." Shah holds a Master of Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education, a Master of Arts in Physical Therapy from New York University, and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from Sancheti Institute for Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation.
