Kate Kutzer is currently a Board of Trustees Standing Committee Member at Duke University, serving as the student representative for the Graduate and Professional Education and Research Committee since September 2024. As a Schweitzer Fellow with The Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, Kate leads a team focused on supporting senior veterans at the Durham VA Medical Center through a screening, referral, and follow-up program. Previously, Kate gained experience as a Research Assistant at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and as Program Lead for the Help Desk at Duke University, where efforts included connecting low-income patients to essential community resources. Kate was also a Division I student-athlete at Duke University, excelling as a heptathlete and becoming an ACC Champion. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Duke University and current pursuit of a Doctor of Medicine degree at Duke University School of Medicine.
