Lindsey Hennawi

Lindsey Hennawi, LCSW, MPH, serves as a Facility DEI Specialist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute and provides individual trauma therapy in a private practice. With extensive experience in mental health, Lindsey is a Clinical Supervisor at The Ali Forney Center and a Consultant with the Northeast/Caribbean AIDS Education & Training Center, focusing on trauma-informed care for HIV service providers. Previously, Lindsey coordinated the Sexual Assault Program at the Crime Victims Treatment Center and worked as a Staff Therapist at the Institute for Human Identity, providing support to LGBTQ+ individuals. Additionally, Lindsey has contributed to fostering inclusivity and cultural competence through roles at various organizations, including DEI strategy consulting and training on best practices for transgender and gender non-conforming individuals in schools. Academic credentials include a Master of Social Work and a Master of Public Health from Columbia University, along with a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College.
