Cornelia Allen is currently the Admissions Coordinator at The Allure Group since January 2023. Prior to this role, Cornelia worked at Maimonides Medical Center from June 2010 to February 2023, where Cornelia held the titles of Discharge planner/Social Worker Assistant and Information Specialist. Cornelia obtained their Bachelor's of Science in Public Administration with a focus on General Studies from Medgar Evers College, CUNY in 2013.
The Allure Group
The Allure Group is a Brooklyn-based chain of Advanced Recovery Centers that specializes in subacute rehabilitation (orthopedic, stroke and cardiac rehabilitation), skilled nursing care (IV management, wound care programs, diabetic management and TPN), cardiopulmonary programs (including ventilator and tracheostomy care) as well as long term placement. The Allure Group includes 6 facilities, all of which offer top-notch healthcare professionals, hotel-like accommodations and state-of-the-art equipment: Hamilton Park Center (Bay Ridge, Brooklyn); Linden Center (East New York); Bedford Center (Williamsburg); Crown Heights Center (Brooklyn); Harlem Center (Harlem); King David Center (Brooklyn). Among the many innovations used by The Allure Group are EarlySense, a contact free, remote monitoring system that uses sensors and advanced algorithms to analyze cardiac, respiratory and motion parameters; “Minds in Motion,” a specialized rehab program for those afflicted with neurological disorders; and a state-of-the-art Robotics Rehabilitation suite including products from Hokoma, Armeo, and Bioness. Allure is also home to the nationally recognized “Hearts in Motion” cardiac rehabilitation program, which saw an astounding 1.1% 30 day rehospitalization rate for 2017. Bedford & Hamilton Park feature the Longevity Garden, a program that accommodates the linguistic & cultural needs of the local Chinese community. Both centers also have ventilator units, with 24/7 respiratory therapists on staff. Crown Heights’ Salud Latina program, geared toward the Hispanic community, offers sub-acute nursing, short-term rehabilitation & long-term care from bilingual physicians, nurses & social workers. Glatt Kosher menus & religious services are available at the Bedford and King David facilities. Our Harlem & Linden Centers were honored by the AHCA/NCAL’s Quality Initiative Program, a nationwide endeavor from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living.
