Tessa Thomas

Tessa Thomas is a seasoned accounting professional with extensive experience in property accounting and finance. Currently serving as the Controller at The Altman Companies since July 2019, Tessa manages a team of 12, overseeing a substantial portfolio of over 40 multi-family properties that contribute more than $170 million in annual revenue. Notable achievements include streamlining the month-end close process to consistently complete it within 7 days. Prior to this role, Tessa held the position of Vice President of Accounting at Southstar Management I, LLC from September 2007 to 2019, where responsibilities included overseeing operations for more than 30 entities and leading a successful software conversion from AMSI to Entrata. Tessa's educational background includes a Master of Accounting from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Technology, Jamaica.
