Matthew Vincent is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in digital cultural heritage and technology. Currently serving as Project Co-Director for the National Cultural Heritage Property Database at The American Center of Research since October 2022, Matthew also co-founded Rekrei in March 2015, a project aimed at crowd-sourcing imagery for the reconstruction of destroyed heritage. Previous roles include Senior DevOps Engineer at Epic Games, Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Basecamp, and Researcher at Fondazione Bruno Kessler, focusing on 3D modeling and machine learning applications in cultural heritage. Matthew's academic background includes a Master's degree in Anthropology from UC San Diego and pre-doctoral research at Universidad de Murcia, alongside other qualifications in Geographical Information Systems and Theology.

Established in 1968, the American Center of Research (ACOR) in Amman, Jordan, is an international, non-profit academic institution, which advances understanding of Jordan and the Middle East, past and present. ACOR facilitates the acquisition of knowledge through research and dialogue with an extensive library and archive, fellowship and scholarship programs, and residential facilities. ACOR promotes archaeological research, cultural heritage preservation, and knowledge-sharing through lectures, digital resources, publications, workshops, and training programs. ACOR serves as a conduit for cultural exchange among students, professionals, and the public in Jordan and beyond.
