Jincheng Du serves as the Chair of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and University Distinguished Research Professor at the University of North Texas since September 2007. With expertise in advanced materials discovery, Jincheng Du leads research utilizing computer simulation methods and characterization techniques to explore the properties of ceramics, glasses, and nano-structured materials for various applications including energy and biomedical fields. Jincheng Du has held roles such as Interim Associate Dean for Research and Associate Department Chair, overseeing graduate programs and promoting research collaborations. Additionally, Jincheng Du is Vice President of the International Council of Materials Education and serves as Editor of the Journal of the American Ceramic Society. Jincheng Du's academic background includes a PhD in Ceramic Science from Alfred University and degrees in Inorganic Materials and Material Science from Wuhan University of Technology.
