C.J. Crawford's work experience includes roles at multiple companies. From 2014 to present, they have been with The American Equity Underwriters, Inc., starting as an Information Systems Business Administrator and currently serving as the Vice President of Claims Technology. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2014, they worked at TeleVox Software, holding positions such as Medical Sales Executive, Information Systems Project Manager, and Software Analyst. Before TeleVox Software, C.J. Crawford worked at The SSI Group, Inc. as a Programmer Analyst from 2003 to 2005.
C.J. Crawford obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, with a Minor in Computer Science, from The University of Alabama between 1998 and 2002.
The American Equity Underwriters
The American Equity Underwriters, Inc. is the program administrator of the American Longshore Mutual Association Ltd (ALMA), a group self-insurance fund authorized by the U.S. Department of Labor to provide USL&H coverage for the liabilities of its members under the United States Longshore & Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act. As program administrator, AEU provides services such as claims handling, loss control, and underwriting, as well as longshore consulting and leadership training. In addition to USL&H coverage, AEU offers State Act workers’ compensation coverage on PMA and Great American paper and maritime employers’ liability through Lloyd’s of London syndicate Novae paper. With a history rooted in maritime, AEU is keenly aware of the challenges faced by waterfront employers and has carefully built services and teams to directly meet those needs.
