Gokul Krishnan has extensive work experience in technology and network management. Gokul started their career in 1996 as a Network Systems Supervisor at the American Embassy School. From 2001 to 2022, they worked at The American International School of Muscat, initially as an IT Network Manager and later as the Technology Director.
Gokul Krishnan obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths from an unknown institution from 1993 to 1995. Gokul then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences.

The Embassy of the United States of America, the Ministry of Education of the Sultanate of Oman, the Office of Overseas Schools of the United States Department of State, and a group of parents and business leaders worked together in 1998 to establish The American International School of Muscat (TAISM). In the Sultanate of Oman, TAISM is the only international school based upon American curriculum and methodologies, and is the only school sponsored by the Embassy of the United States of America.
