Willow Delp is currently the Managing Opinion Editor at The Amherst Student, where they lead the opinion section. They also have writing experience as a Staff Writer and Assistant Opinion Editor at the same publication. Willow is currently working as a Student Access Coordinator at Amherst College, researching ways to enhance accessibility for disabled students. Additionally, they have experience as a Queer Media Lab Intern, Schupf Fellow, and Campus Tour & Fellowship Group Leader with GPI US, Inc. Willow has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and English from Amherst College, and has previously attended Montclair Kimberley Academy and The School For Ethics And Global Leadership.

The Amherst Student
The Amherst Student is the newspaper of Amherst College. Established in 1868, The Student is the oldest independent weekly college publication in the country, with over 2,000 copies circulated per issue. The Student is published every Wednesday of the academic year, with the exception of vacations and exam periods, and is distributed to members of the College and the communities of Amherst, Hadley and the Five College Area free of charge, as well as to alumni and parents by subscription. The mission of The Student is to provide accurate, reliable information on every dimension of campus and community life at Amherst College, highlighting the issues relevant to the college’s students, faculty, staff, alumni and others in the community. The Student aims to amplify student voices and opinions, from multiple perspectives, while acting as a forum for discourse and campus conversation. We strive to live up to the essential role we play in binding the community, recognizing that we are the sole news publication centered on issues pertaining to Amherst College. The Student is editorially independent of Amherst College and its administrators, though we depend on AAS discretionary funds for our weekly printing costs.
