Tamara Williams has been a leader in the financial industry for over two decades. Tamara began their career at Prudential Financial in 1993, where they held various positions in information technology, new business operations, and operational risk management. In 2005, they were promoted to Director of Risk Management.
In 2013, Tamara was promoted again, this time to VP & CCO of Global Sales Practices Compliance. In this role, they were responsible for establishing policies to institute minimum global control requirements leveraging CRMP methodology. Tamara also oversaw Prudential’s global Sales Practices program, including employee training and risk analytics.
Tamara retired from Prudential in 2022 and is currently the President of The Amistad Center for Art & Culture.
Tamara Williams holds an MBA in finance from Seton Hall University and a BS in business management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Tamara also has a business management degree from Clemson University.
