Bessma Momani

Bessma Momani holds extensive academic and professional experience in international relations and political science. Currently serving as the Associate Vice-President, International, and Full Professor of Political Science at the University of Waterloo since 2004, Bessma has held multiple leadership roles, including Assistant Vice-President positions focused on research and interdisciplinary studies. Bessma is also a Board Member at the International Development Research Centre and has been affiliated with the Centre for International Governance Innovation as a Senior Fellow. Additional roles include Non-Resident Fellow at The Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington and previously at The Stimson Center and the Brookings Institution. Bessma's consultancy work includes contributions to the International Monetary Fund and various governmental boards, alongside educational qualifications including a PhD from Western University and a Master's from the University of Guelph.
