Sara Garbarino is an experienced leader in fundraising and resource development, currently serving as the Vice President of Advancement at The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region since March 2016. In this role, Sara provides senior leadership to the Development department, focusing on achieving fundraising goals that reflect the organization's mission and values. Previously, Sara held the position of Senior Director of Resource Development at The Arc NCR, where responsibilities included securing donations, expanding event sponsorships, and overseeing marketing and communications efforts. Prior to joining The Arc NCR, Sara was the Director of Development at the Greater Baltimore Committee from January 2006 to March 2016. Sara holds an M.B.A. from the University of Baltimore and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Towson University.

The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region is a private, non-profit local chapter of The Arc of Maryland and The Arc of The United States, the largest volunteer organization in the world devoted exclusively to improving the quality of life for all adults and children with mental retardation and their families. It is an affiliate agency of The United Way of Central Maryland and The United Way of Cecil County.
