Sarah Ortiz-Brown currently serves as the Director of Community Supports at The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region, a position held since June 2023. Prior to this role, Sarah was the Assistant Director of Community Partners at The Arc NCR from September 2019 to June 2023. Sarah's extensive experience in the nonprofit sector includes roles such as Director of Programs and Case Management and Program Manager at Harford Family House, Inc., where responsibilities included implementing housing programs for homeless families and youth transitioning from foster care, as well as managing compliance with funding sources. Earlier in the career, Sarah worked as a Case Manager at Harford Family House and as a CSI Case Manager at Villa Maria Behavioral Health Clinic. Sarah holds a B.S. in Social Psychology from Park University and has completed specialized training in grant writing through Harford Community College’s Grant Academy. Additionally, Sarah participated in the Harford County Leadership Academy in 2010.

The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region is a private, non-profit local chapter of The Arc of Maryland and The Arc of The United States, the largest volunteer organization in the world devoted exclusively to improving the quality of life for all adults and children with mental retardation and their families. It is an affiliate agency of The United Way of Central Maryland and The United Way of Cecil County.
