Daniel Werges has extensive work experience in the disabilities and community services field. Daniel most recently served as the Managing Director of Community Services at The Arc Rockland, a position they have held since December 2020. Prior to this role, they were the Director of Day Habilitation Services at the same organization from October 2012 to November 2020.
Before joining The Arc Rockland, Daniel worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at City College of New York from January 2009 to December 2012. Daniel also served as a Program Supervisor at YAI / National Institute for People with Disabilities from January 2009 to October 2012. Prior to this, they were an Assistant Supervisor of Quality Assurance at the same organization from January 2007 to January 2009.
Daniel's earlier experience includes working as a Residential Counselor at Devereux from April 2003 to June 2004 and as a Coordinator at Independent Living (Keighley) Ltd. from January 2000 to March 2003.
Daniel Werges completed a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Disability Studies at the City University of New York-School of Professional Studies from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2007, they earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree in Social Work from Hunter College.
