Colonel Jean M. Dailey served as an Army Nurse for 13 years in the Army Reserve and 30 years in the Active Army. She is a graduate of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Nursing (WRAIN) program/University of Maryland School of Nursing, Baltimore with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She earned a Master of Science Degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Hawaii and a Master in Military Strategic Studies from the US Army War College. Her military career included care delivery in acute and ambulatory settings. Her last active duty assignment was Regional Nurse Executive Southern Regional Medical Command, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, as the Chief Nurse Executive and Principle advisor to the Southern Regional Medical Command Commander on nursing practice and all issues related to nursing care and personnel occurring throughout 11 separate Medical Commands supporting healthcare delivery to over 490K healthcare beneficiaries. Since retiring in 2015 after 43 years of reserve and active duty service, she has been actively involved in the community and is a Commissioner with the Bexar County Emergency Services District No.3. She is married to Colonel (retired) Aaron Jacobs.
