MG (Ret) LaWarren V. Patterson has over 25 years of experience as a senior executive level military leader and manager, culminating as the Deputy Commanding General and Chief of Staff for US Army Installation Management Command.
He was responsible for the management and oversight of a 72K person workforce, an annual budget of $10 billion and $2.9 billion in construction. He provided senior executive oversight on the day to day operations of the Army’s 75 bases dispersed around the world. This included public works, human resources, logistics, resource/budget management, manpower and Army morale, recreation and welfare programs.
He led seven senior executives in supporting the commanding general and Army’s directives. He served as the first chair of the Army’s Cyber Summits for installation infrastructure growth in support of cyber operations. He served as the first Commanding General, US Army Cyber Center of Excellence and Ft. Gordon (Augusta, GA). He was previously the Army’s 36th Chief of Signal and transitioned the Signal Center of Excellence from Information Technology to a more holistic Cyber focus.
General Patterson earned his Masters in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College; a Master of Science degree in General Administration from Central Michigan University; and a BS degree in Mass Communication from Norfolk State University.
