Sharon Taylor has been a resident of the Army Residence Community since 2013. Her spouse, Wade Taylor, is a retired Air Force officer. As a resident, she has been actively involved in the Community, serving on the Executive Committee of the Resident Council for five years, first as Secretary and more recently as Vice Chair. Additionally, she has served on numerous committees, to include the Strategic Development Committee since its inception in 2018. She has worked to develop an intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the Community through interactions with the CEO, CFO, department Directors, and other key staff as well as residents and various resident committees.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree from Boston State College and a Masters in Counseling from the University of Maryland. Her life experiences as a teacher/counselor and a military spouse took her from Massachusetts to Germany, Kansas, Okinawa, North Carolina, Alabama, and finally Texas. During her twenty-eight years in education, she worked on various development projects at school and district levels. She was nominated for the Trinity Award for Excellence in Education and listed in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. Through participation on the Board of Directors, her goals are to sustain and improve the Army Residence Community while enhancing the quality of life for all residents.
