Minhaj Ali

Minhaj Ali is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in financial management and grant oversight. Currently serving as the Director Finance and Grants and Chief of Party for USAID at The Asia Foundation since May 2016, Minhaj Ali is responsible for budget management, grant management, compliance, and operational finance, specifically in the Afghanistan office. Prior to this role, Minhaj Ali held various positions at KPMG from October 2007 to April 2016, leading financial management services for The Global Fund and UNICEF, conducting capacity assessments, and managing complex engagements in business process improvement. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Vice President in Internal Audit at MCB Bank Limited, focusing on compliance and impact assessments. Minhaj Ali is a Chartered Accountant, with education from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and Islamabad College for Boys.
