Norman Chen's work experience includes serving as the Chief Executive Officer of The Asian American Foundation since November 2021. Norman was also a Founding Committee member of LAAUNCH, addressing racism and representation for the Asian American community, starting in September 2020. Prior to that, they were a Venture Partner at 6 Dimensions Capital, a healthcare venture capital company. Norman also served on the Leadership Council of Positive Coaching Alliance and was a California Leadership Council Member of The Nature Conservancy. Norman Chen co-founded and directed CHIC and DeltaHealth China, a cardiovascular hospital. Norman also served as a Board Trustee at Crystal Springs Uplands School and was a Program Committee Member and prior Board Member at Children's Medical Foundation. Norman was a Venture Partner at Fidelity Growth Partners Asia from June 2012 to December 2016.

Norman Chen obtained an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where they studied from 1989 to 1991. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they attended from 1983 to 1987.
