Sarwa Numan has extensive experience in community engagement and outreach, currently serving as the Community Engagement/Bite of HOPE program coordinator at the Asian American Health Coalition - HOPE Clinic since June 2018. Responsibilities include planning and conducting outreach activities, developing marketing materials, and establishing partnerships to promote health services. Previous roles include Outreach Specialist, Job Developer at YMCA, Grants Coordinator for USAID/FHI 360, and Public Awareness Coordinator for USAID - Access to Justice, among others. Sarwa's career spans various positions focused on capacity building, project coordination, and business development services, demonstrating a strong commitment to community health and development. Sarwa holds a Bachelor’s degree in German Language and Literature from the University of Baghdad.

HOPE Clinic is a non-profit, federally qualified health center (FQHC) with 4 locations in the greater Houston area. Established in 2002, HOPE Clinic provides comprehensive health care services to all regardless of their ability to pay. In particular, HOPE Clinic serves the uninsured, under insured, those with limited English proficiency, and the low-income. A unique characteristic of HOPE Clinic is its capacity to provide services in over 30 different languages, including: Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Korean, Burmese, Arabic, and Spanish. Our mission is to improve the health of residents of Greater Houston in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner.
