Jesse Convertino

Jesse Convertino is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in editorial roles, currently serving as a Senior Editor at The Atlantic since July 2025. Prior to this position, Jesse worked at ABC News from February 2016 to July 2025, initially as an Emerging Platforms Editor, where responsibilities included developing distribution strategies for social media platforms, and later as an Audience Engagement Editor, overseeing social media accounts and driving content creation with a focus on audience engagement. Jesse also held the position of Production Associate at ABC News, contributing to the creation and execution of promotional content. Earlier career experience includes a tenure as a Research Associate at The Barry Commoner Center for Health and the Environment, and an internship as a Designer/Copy Editor for the Northwell World Trade Center Health Program. Jesse earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Hunter College from 2008 to 2014.
