James Essex began their work experience in 1992 as a Co-Op Student at David Engineering and Construction. In 1995, while still pursuing their Masters Degree, they joined The Atlas Companies as a Vice President and Director of Project Management. James had started working part-time at Atlas during high school and continued to work there to support himself through college.
James Essex received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Louisville, where they attended from 1990 to 1995.
