Jacqueline Pienaar

Jacqueline Pienaar has a diverse work experience in the field of global health and HIV/AIDS prevention. Jacqueline is currently serving as the Chief of Party at Project Last Mile since September 2022. Previously, they held the position of Principal Investigator/Global Health Specialist at The Aurum Institute from November 2021. Jacqueline is also the Director/Founder of S'Khokho Community Health since 2010. Jacqueline has served as the Chief Executive Officer at CHAPS - The Centre for HIV and AIDS Prevention Studies from January 2019 to November 2021. Prior to that, they were the Technical Director at Aurum Health Institute from February 2017 to November 2021. Jacqueline also worked as a Technical Advisor at the World Health Organization from April 2015 to September 2019. Jacqueline has held positions such as Monitoring and Evaluation: Head at Umngungundlovu District AIDS Council from April 2009 to March 2017, Technical Advisor at EQUIP from September 2016 to February 2017, Chief of Party at Jhpiego from February 2015 to February 2017, and Technical Advisor at UNAIDS from February 2015 to June 2015.

Jacqueline Pienaar's education history begins in 2000 when they enrolled at the University of KwaZulu-Natal to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Zoology and Psychology. Jacqueline completed their undergraduate studies in 2002. In the following year, from 2002 to 2003, they attended the University of Natal to obtain a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Zoology and Psychology.

In 2003, Jacqueline continued their education at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Psychology. Jacqueline completed their postgraduate studies in 2004.

After a gap in their education, Jacqueline pursued a Fellowship in Public Health HIV prevention at Columbia University from 2010 to 2011. This program allowed their to further their knowledge and expertise in the field.

Lastly, in 2020, Jacqueline attended the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore for a brief period to study strategic management. The field of study for this program was not specified.

Throughout their education, Jacqueline has shown a consistent interest in psychology, zoology, and public health, which reflects their dedication to these subjects.
