Mark Betts

Mark Betts is a dedicated Special Education Teacher with extensive experience in instructional and behavioral support for students with exceptional needs. Currently employed at The Austin Centers for Exceptional Students, Inc. since March 2023, Mark previously served as a Special Education Teacher Intern at The ACES. Additional roles include Therapeutic Support Specialist, Behavior Technician, and ABA Therapist, emphasizing student-centered approaches and individualized education plans. With a robust educational background, including a PhD in General Psychology focusing on Cognition and Instruction from Grand Canyon University and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Mark combines a strong academic foundation with practical experience in education and special needs support. Mark also has a significant military background in the US Army, which includes leadership positions and responsibilities in military police operations.
