Chris Jackson, LEED AP, has a diverse and extensive work experience in the construction industry. Chris started their career at Maverick Construction as an Estimator, Project Manager, and Field Engineer, where they gained experience in bid spec and design build markets. Chris then joined Fortney & Weygandt, Inc. as a Project Manager, overseeing various commercial construction projects. Later, they worked at Star Inc as an Estimator and Project Manager, managing commercial projects and gaining experience in conceptual estimating.
Chris then joined Fiorilli Construction, Inc. as an Estimating Manager, Project Manager, and LEED Director. Chris directed the estimating department, managed day-to-day operations, and implemented sustainable practices training programs for the construction industry.
After that, they worked at AECOM, previously URS, as an Estimator V - Staff, responsible for pre-contract negotiation, budgeting, and construction change order validation for a range of projects.
Currently, Chris is the Vice President and General Manager at The Austin Company, where they are responsible for overall business unit management, including profit and loss. Chris leads and manages department directors, assists and motivates sales personnel, ensures compliance with company policies, and evaluates personnel for promotion and salary increases.
Furthermore, Chris has additional roles such as the Director of Preconstruction Services and the Internship Program Lead. Chris has also served as the Development Committee Chair/Member for the Kent State University Construction Management Advisory Board.

Chris Jackson, LEED AP, obtained a BS in Construction Science and Management from Western Michigan University, where they studied from 1994 to 1999. In addition to their degree, they have acquired several certifications throughout their career. These include the LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) certification from the United States Green Building Council, Northeast Ohio Chapter, obtained in March 2009. Chris also holds the Green Advantage Commercial / Residential Certified Practitioner (GA-CR) certification from Green Advantage, Inc., obtained in August 2009, and the Green Globes Professional (GGP) certification from the Green Building Initiative, obtained in April 2014. Furthermore, they are a Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certified by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals since September 2014. Chris Jackson has also obtained the Procore Certified: Associate designation from Procore Technologies in March 2016. Lastly, they recently secured an FAA Remote Pilot Certificate with an sUAS rating from the Federal Aviation Administration in March 2021.
