Brent Read is a seasoned sports journalist currently serving as a senior sports writer for Nation Wide News at The Australian Newspaper since April 2005. Prior to this role, Brent was a sports journalist at the Australian Associated Press from 2000 to April 2005. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Law obtained from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) between 2000 and 2008, a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies from QUT completed from 1993 to 1995, and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Movements earned at The University of Queensland from 1990 to 1995. Brent's foundational education took place at Ipswich Grammar School from 1982 to 1986.
