Carolyn Johnson (Abel) has over 20 years of experience in development and fundraising roles within educational and social service organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Development at The Avery Coonley School since October 2015, Carolyn has previously held positions at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy, where responsibilities included Director of Annual Giving and Coordinator of Alumni Engagement, among others, from October 2005 to October 2015. Earlier experience includes serving as ChildPlus Coordinator at Two Rivers Head Start Agency from 2002 to 2005 and as a Family Service Worker at Catholic Charities from 2000 to 2002. Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Marquette University, earned in 2000.
