Alissa Light

Alissa Light is a seasoned nonprofit leader with nearly two decades of experience in governance, strategy, and organizational development. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Gender Justice and an independent consultant through Alissa Light Consulting, Alissa specializes in providing relational consulting to nonprofits and foundations. Previous roles include President & CEO of The Bakken Museum, where efforts focused on advancing the museum’s mission in STEM education, and Executive Director of Family Tree Clinic, driving significant growth and leading an $8 million capital campaign. Alissa has also held leadership positions in various coalitions advocating for reproductive health and community health equity. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Women's & Gender Studies and Media Studies from Macalester College, and a Masters of Science in Organizational Leadership from Quinnipiac University, with additional studies at the University of Minnesota.
