Mark Williams

Mark Williams is an accomplished journalism professional with extensive experience in editorial roles. Currently serving as Opinion Editor at The Baltimore Banner since October 2022, Mark previously operated as a self-employed editor and essayist from January 2019 to October 2022. Mark held the position of Senior Editor at Bloomberg BNA for over three decades, from July 1988 to December 2018. Earlier career highlights include serving as a reporter for Tampa Bay Times, where coverage focused on housing, social issues, and police, and as a general assignment reporter and desk editor for the Associated Press. Mark holds a Master of Arts in Journalism and Public Affairs from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
