Vaughn Buffalo is currently the Chair at The Barrow Group. Prior to this, they worked as Of Counsel at Brauner Baron LLP from February 2001 to June 2003. Here, they independently managed and negotiated significant transactions, including the purchase of three metal media titles from Reed Elsevier and the subsequent sale of two such titles and various purchases of assets and companies emerging from or in bankruptcy. They also sourced two e-commerce corporate clients and structured transactions with respect to tax, bankruptcy and other legal concerns.
Before Brauner Baron, Vaughn worked as General Counsel at ebricks.com from January 2000 to November 2000. Here, they conducted negotiations with wireless, logistics and infrastructure providers, structured transactions and drafted of memorandums of understanding and agreements, including closing deals with Commerce One, Mergent Systems, i2 and ec-Content. They also developed online terms and conditions and agreements and reviewed legal documentation for license, trademark and other intellectual property issues. Lastly, they decided day-to-day legal issues presented to a startup company.
Vaughn Buffalo graduated from Harvard University with an AB in Theirtory and Science (Physics). Vaughn then attended Columbia Law School, where they earned their JD. After graduation, they worked as a lawyer for a few years before returning to Columbia Law School to earn their Doctor of Law.
