Andi Dickmeyer

Psychologist at The Base Health

Andi Dickmeyer is currently a Doctoral Student at the University of Newcastle since May 2024, pursuing a PhD in Psychology with a focus on the role of nature connection, physical activity, and outdoor therapy interventions. In addition, Andi serves as a Psychologist at The Base Health, starting January 2024, and previously worked as a Psychologist for NSW Health from February 2023 to March 2024. Andi's experience includes serving as a Lead Field Mentor at Confluence Behavioral Health, where the focus was on young adults facing emotional and relational challenges through a combination of wilderness therapy and comprehensive wellness services. Prior roles include Mental Health Specialist at McLean Hospital and Thomas J. Watson Fellow with the Watson Foundation, where Andi explored the influence of nature on well-being around the world. Academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Newcastle and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Philosophy from Hamilton College.
