Timur Yagafarov

Timur Yagafarov has worked for several companies since 2012. From 2012 to 2014, they were an Engineer at the Prokhorov General Physics Institute, where they developed a Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) setup from scratch and deposited semiconductors for photocathode applications. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Project Manager and Intern at Наноцентр "Техноспарк" and an Intern at JSC RUSNANO. From 2015 to 2018, they were a PhD Student at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, where they organized the optics lab and cleanroom facilities in Hybrid Photonics department, developed a room-temperature tuneable organic polariton laser, and enhanced the efficiency and spectral response of solar cells by quantum dots hybridization. Since 2018, they have been the Chief Technology Officer at Prof Beauty and, since 2020, the Head of Research and Development and Leading R&D Engineer at The Batteries.

Timur Yagafarov has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology in Hybrid Photonics, which they earned from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) (MIPT) in Laser Physics and Quantum Optics from 2013 to 2015. Timur also has a Bachelor's degree from the same school in Applied Mathematics and Physics, which they earned from 2009 to 2013.
