Ana Maria Vargas

Ana Maria Vargas, PhD, has a comprehensive background in education and social services. Currently serving as a Spanish Teacher and Advisor at The Bay School of San Francisco since July 2020, Ana has previous experience in the same role at the same institution from August 2010 to December 2018, where also served as Discipline Coordinator. Ana operated as a self-employed Translator and Interpreter from March 2004 to April 2021. Earlier experience includes a position as Language and Literature Instructor and Level Coordinator at the University of California, Los Angeles, between January 2003 and June 2008, and as a Social Worker at On Lok from February 2000 to June 2002, where services were provided to support seniors' independence. Ana holds a BA in Social Welfare and Spanish from the University of California, Berkeley, and a PhD in Hispanic Languages and Literatures from UCLA.
