David Edis

David Edis is a prominent Orthopaedic and Spine Surgeon with extensive experience in various healthcare settings. Currently serving as Secretary for the Spine Society of Australia since April 2024, David has been a VMO at The Bays Healthcare Group Inc, Mulgrave Private Hospital, Peninsula Private Hospital, and St John of God Health Care since 2018. Additionally, David is the Principal and Founder of Tasman Spine, which has been operational since 2007. Between 2007 and 2018, David held positions as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Tasmania and as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Launceston General Hospital. Educationally, David holds a Graduate Diploma of Medical Management and a Master's of Medical Administration from Monash University, as well as a Medical Doctorate from the Royal Melbourne Hospital, University of Melbourne, alongside a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Melbourne. David has also contributed to surgical education as a consultant for Medtronic Spine & Biologics.
