Julien Bouvrais has extensive work experience in the gaming industry. Julien started their career at UBISOFT in 1998, where they worked as a Programmer on various projects. Julien later became a Lead Programmer, leading teams and contributing to the development of games such as Splinter Cell Double Agent and TMNT.
In 2007, Bouvrais joined Eidos-Montréal as a Lead Programmer and eventually took on the role of Director of Technology. Julien played a crucial role in the development of games like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Tomb Raider Trilogy. As Chief Technology Officer, they guided the studio's technology development and made strategic technical decisions until 2021.
From 2020 to 2023, Bouvrais worked as the Head of Studio at Eidos-Sherbrooke. In this role, they focused on creating cutting-edge technology and fostering innovation in game development. Julien built a team of experts and established partnerships within the industry and academia.
Currently, Bouvrais holds the position of VP R&D Tech at The Believer Company starting from 2023.
Julien Bouvrais began their education in 1994 at Université Paris Cité, where they earned a Licence degree in Physics in 1995. Julien continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Physics in 1996. Following this, from 1996 to 1998, Julien attended Télécom SudParis, where they pursued an Engineer degree specializing in Image Processing.
