Ilana Altman

Ilana Altman is a highly accomplished professional in the field of architecture and public space development. As Co-Executive Director of The Bentway since June 2017, Ilana plays a pivotal role in transforming Toronto’s Gardiner Expressway into an innovative public gathering space, leading a team of 17 civic leaders. Previously, in the role of Director of Programming at The Bentway, Ilana was instrumental in developing programs and forming diverse partnerships. Other notable positions include Founder & Project Leader of The Artful City, Executive Director of the Pavilion Project, Project Manager & Senior Designer at KPMB Architects, and Project Manager and Senior Designer at Diller Scofidio + Renfro. Ilana holds two Master of Architecture degrees from McGill University and a Master of Architecture from Princeton University.
