Sarah Konowitz

Head Teacher, 4th Grade at THE BERKELEY CARROLL SCHOOL

Sarah Konowitz has a diverse work experience starting from 2012. Sarah began their career as a Writing Associate/Tutor for Art History Students at Oberlin College. Sarah also served as a Student Docent at Allen Memorial Art Museum and worked as a Senior Co-Chair and Editor-in-Chief for the Arts Students Committee. In 2013, they joined The Exhibition Initiative as a Liaison and Publicity Coordinator. Sarah later worked at Allen Memorial Art Museum, Oberlin College as a Student Curatorial Research Assistant. From 2013 to 2015, they worked at Pace Gallery as a Marketing Assistant and Gallery Assistant. In 2015, they were a Sales Administrator at Lehmann Maupin. Their teaching experience began in 2016 at Park Slope Montessori as an Assistant Teacher. Sarah then joined Blue School as an Associate Teacher for 2nd Grade, followed by roles as a Lead Teacher for 3rd Grade and 4th Grade. Currently, they are working as the Head Teacher for 4th Grade at Berkeley Carroll School.

Sarah Konowitz earned their Master of Science degree in Museum Education from Bank Street College of Education in the years 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Art History from Oberlin College between 2009 and 2013. Sarah completed their high school education at Milton Academy, where they received a diploma in 2009.
