Urs Schaerer

Urs Schaerer is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in supply chain management, particularly in the mining, energy, and industrial sectors. Currently serving as Managing Director for F.H. Bertling Logistics in Chile and Peru, Schaerer specializes in complex supply chain solutions for mega-projects. Previous roles include Director of Technical and Solutions Sales and Group Technical Director, focusing on operations management. Additionally, Schaerer has entrepreneurial experience with Swiss Logistics Consulting GmbH and innovation in virtual reality solutions as CEO of Swiss Digital World. Prior positions include Head of Industrial Solutions at Orkestra SCS and Senior Director for Global Projects in the Oil & Gas sector at DB Schenker. Urs holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Business Administration for Engineers from the School of Engineering Zurich and the Business University of St. Gallen, respectively, along with an MBA in Purchasing and Contracts Management from WISS Schulen für Wirtschaft Informatik Immobilien.
