Lane Kent

Lane Kent is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the insurance and pet industries. Currently serving as GM Insurance at The Berwyn Group since March 2025, Lane focuses on industry strategy and growth. In addition, Lane has held the position of Investor & Advisor at NBTV since October 2024, concentrating on strategy, fundraising, and market expansion within the pet sector. Previously, Lane was the Chief Executive Officer at Independence Pet Group from June 2021 to July 2024, overseeing leadership, strategic management, and operational culture changes. Lane also served as President of the Pet Division at Independence American Insurance Company from September 2020 to January 2023, and as Executive Vice President for Senior Markets at IHC Specialty Benefits, Inc. from April 2019 to January 2023. Lane holds a BS in Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Graduate Certificate in International Studies from Creighton University.
