Peter Burston

Peter Burston is an accomplished ecology professional with extensive experience in biodiversity and conservation. Currently serving as Senior Strategic Director, Technical Director, and Senior Principal Ecologist at The Biodiversity Consultancy Ltd since November 2018, Peter has previously held key positions at Ramboll as Manager of Biodiversity from July 2010 to October 2018, and at AECOM as Principal Ecologist from May 2007 to June 2010. Additional roles include ecologist positions in self-employment (2005-2007) and as Farm Conservation Advisor at the FARMING AND WILDLIFE ADVISORY GROUP from 2000 to 2005. Peter began a career in research as a Research Associate at the University of East Anglia (1998-1999). Peter holds a 1st Class BSc (Hons) in Ecology from the University of East Anglia and continues to engage with the Tropical Biology Association since 1997.
